While Apple has steadily increased the number of tracks to iTunes that sell for $ 1.29, Amazon mp3online music store, Amazon.com, has just lowered the price of many popular songs from 89-or-99 cents only $ 0.69.

And these aren't just coded in the ' 50s tracks 9 out of 10 octogenarians never heard of – the new price is for many songs by current best-seller as E.T. Katy Perry and Bruno Mars The Song "lazy.  In fact, if you take a look at the list of songs MP3 Amazon MP3 best sellers, more than 50% of the first 60 are on sale now for $ 0. 69-listeners that it costs roughly half what they would pay for purchases of iTunes.

Amazon MP3 sells unlocked.MP3 audio File that will play back on any iOS (iPad, iPhone, iPod touch) iPod, Android phones, Windows phones and virtually every other device designed to handle digital audio.  And the online retailer has recently launched their Cloud Drive, a "digital locker" for files and media, along with Cloud Player, Windows, Mac OS and Android app that allows users to play audio files stored via an internet connection.

We are disappointed that Amazon hasn't released an iTunes-like app for PC that allows users to purchase and manage Amazon MP3 content outside of a browser, but with a substantial savings that the extra effort required to separately download and manage music purchased from Amazonespecially in this economy, it will be useful to many users.

Now let's see if enough people make the switch to Amazon MP3 for Apple to take notice.
