Given the success of Android in the smartphone market, we were surprised, frankly, not one of tablets powered by Google OS was able to iPad do so much as a flinch; iPad continues its dominance in the Tablet, as surely as if it were the only option available.

But this won't be last. Eventually, emerges a viable competitor.   So, Amazon may be the company to finally offer an acceptable alternative, at least for consumers, for the Apple iPad?

For months there have been rumblings that the reseller, building on its success in the market, would release its own eReader device tablet.  And for different reasons, Amazon just might stand the best chance of challenging the iPad.  But what exactly would such a Tablet? It would be characterized by a color eInk touchscreen (unlikely), a hybrid of LCD-eInk (questionable), a new display technologyor simply a touchscreen color LCD as Nook Color and other tablets?  What software would run? How much would it cost?

We do not know the answer to any of these questions, but DigiTimessecond, Amazon has really a tablet in the works and took advantage of Quanta Computer to begin mass producing the device in the near future.

While Amazon will introduce its tablet OS, we doubt this very much.  It is much more likely that I will adapt the existing operating system like Android, tablet.  And it is a fait accompli that one of the main points of sale of such a device would be its tight integration with the Kindle eBook store, Amazon mp3and Amazon Instant Video.

As we have said many, many times, in order to compete effectively with the iPad, the Tablet must better alternatives on multiple fronts – especially for the price-and will need to provide a user experience second to none.  Motorola, Samsung, RIM and other hardware manufacturers that have gone after iPad have not managed to outdo Apple tablet, which has preserved their anemic sales, even in front of the Tablet's meteoric rise.  It seems unlikely that Amazon would make the same mistakes if have decided through their hat in the ring.

You'll be hearing more about this year.  Bet on it.

We received a number of emails from readers regarding their inability to install the Appstore Amazon for Android on their AT&T Android phones.  The option "unknown sources" application in the settings menu is missing, which prevents the application from installing.

Unfortunately, it is not possible without a bit of hacking to re-install the Appstore on these phones; AT&T is deliberately removed the option to install third party applications, i.e. apps off Android market.  And that, as they say, is that.

In the end, only customer complaints have any hope of changing this ridiculous block.  But until AT&T allows 3rd party applications to be installed, if you want the Appstore Amazon-or any non-market applications – on your Android phone AT&T, must be eradicated.

Typhoid is not for everyone; jailbreaking the phone is essentially to allow greater flexibility in the operation of the device.  There are many methods for Android phones, including the Atrix AT&T 4 G typhus (see as the Atrix 4 G of Root and How to eradicate the Samsung Captivate).  If this interests you, proceed with caution.

At the end of March, Engadget reported that AT&T is working on allowing the Appstore Amazon to run on their Android devices, although no details have been forthcoming in six weeks after the story ran.

While Apple has steadily increased the number of tracks to iTunes that sell for $ 1.29, Amazon mp3online music store, Amazon.com, has just lowered the price of many popular songs from 89-or-99 cents only $ 0.69.

And these aren't just coded in the ' 50s tracks 9 out of 10 octogenarians never heard of – the new price is for many songs by current best-seller as E.T. We are disappointed that Amazon hasn't released an iTunes-like app for PC that allows users to purchase and manage Amazon MP3 content outside of a browser, but with a substantial savings that the extra effort required to separately download and manage music purchased from Amazonespecially in this economy, it will be useful to many users.

Now let's see if enough people make the switch to Amazon MP3 for Apple to take notice.
